Hundreds of students and parents across the WSFCS district casually opened their emails on August 27 expecting nothing more than the usual notifications, only to discover something there that may affect all schools very soon.
As of August 26, the district has been collecting feedback on a potential schedule change. This change, if brought into effect, would standardize the bell times of all schools in the district to one single schedule. This would alter the length of classes, the start and end of the school day and even the order in which different grade levels begin.
The changes will be voted upon at an upcoming meeting of the Board of Education. Until recently, they have been accepting the thoughts of the people in the form of a Google Form, which was emailed to all members of WSFCS on August 27. They encouraged all students and parents to fill out this form so that the board would have all possible opinions on the subject during the meeting.
The district collected these forms until September 8, at which point the Google Form was closed to further submissions. However, it is always possible to email the board with comments, questions, or concerns at any time.
