From a young age, Brooklynn King has been dominating the court. This year, she has already earned Player of the Game multiple times by MaxPreps, also just surpassing 500 career rebounds. As well as committing to Maryville College to continue her academic and athletic career. The senior forward is averaging 11 points per game this season.
Talent isn’t all that goes into the game; motivation from teammates and coaches also plays a huge role in bringing out your skill and succeeding. King has a love for the sport, so it helps motivate her to reach the next goal.
“I guess my passion and love for the game, just the bonding experience, where I’ve gained a lot of friends,” King said.
Basketball isn’t just an individual sport; it requires everyone on the team to work together with the same mindset to get a win. King is no stranger to that and values that aspect of the sport, making it a key component to why she enjoys the sport and the competition.

“I’d say the teamwork and the growth that comes with it for me and my teammates,” King said.
There is always room to improve in everything you do, and that is a big thing for King. In some ways, she is able to progress in her game and gaining more confidence on the court when it comes time to play.
“I could definitely improve on being more comfortable and confident on the court,” King said.
With this being the beginning of her senior season, King has much more to come, only improving from here on out.
