After a long and cold February, the weather is starting to warm up just in time for Spring Break. From March 9th to the 15th, many students have different ideas of how they’ll spend this free week.
“For spring break, I’m probably going down to Florida, so I will probably go to the beach this time, because last weekend I went down to Florida. We are driving there with my brothers and my mom. I’m probably going to the gardens, different restaurants, and go to their religious temples. I’m going to Miami Beach, where I go swimming and collect seashells, and I love playing beach volleyball,” freshman Angelina Nguyen said.
“I’m probably just going to sleep the entire time; I’m not doing anything specific besides hanging out at my own house. I will probably be with my mom, my stepmom, and my best friend Avieon, maybe my boyfriend. I am looking forward to just a break. I needed a break from school, I need to get away for a minute, I’ve been working on stuff quite a bit,” sophomore Elliyanna Gordon said.
“My family and I are going to the beach and then to Charleston. I will be with my family: So I have 3 siblings and then my mom and my dad. I’m looking forward to spending time at the beach and getting tanned. I miss my tan a lot. I think I’m going to the South Carolina beach near Charleston so that it won’t be too far of a drive,” sophomore Natalie Farmer said.
“I am planning on hanging out with friends, and that’s probably about it. As far as plans, we will probably figure it out then. I look forward to being out of school for a week, just getting away from it,” freshman Gibson Williams said.
“I’m just hanging out with friends, hanging out with my mom. Being around my friends, my family. Probably having a sleepover,” senior Katelyn Wilson said.
“I’m going to get money, play football, I play football, so I trained a lot, I’ll probably go to Manmi because I’m from Manmi. If you didn’t know, I have an NFL player cousin, so I will be with an NFL player. I’m just looking forward to going to the beach, being in the sun, and getting my tan on at Manmi with the beautiful people,” sophomore Tylan Grimes said.
“I will be at home, probably most of the time, doing scholarships for college. I’m glad that we don’t have school,” senior Bella Jiang said.
“Playing video games, hanging out with my friends, and practicing my music for the band. Being with my mom and mostly hanging out with my friends. Just looking forward to getting a break, mostly,” sophomore Ray Hubbard said.
“For spring break, I’m gonna be touring around colleges, one of them I’m touring is UNCW and Elon University, so I am very excited. Honestly, the tours, I think it is going to be really fun, can’t wait to see where I am going to college,” junior Lucy Garner said.
As the break gets closer, we hope students will recharge their batteries, spend time with friends, and wrap up work.
