All is sun and done: Fun things to do this summer
The end of school is near and summer is here! It’s been a long year and it’s about time to have a nice break without worrying about exams or school work in general. Last summer there wasn’t a whole lot we could do because of the pandemic, but this time around we can do more activities this summer break than before.
1. Take a trip to the beach
A trip to the beach is a good way to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It also is a way to go somewhere without too much human interaction. There’s a lot to do at the coast like going fishing or swimming, you could even surf too. It’s a great way to get out without being at too much risk.
2. Go to the mountains
The mountains are another good way to get out this summer. There are some really great views when you go hiking. Some good places to hike are near the Blue Ridge Parkway like the Appalachian trail or Black Balsam Knob. Hiking is also a good way to get some good pictures. There are also a lot of things to do in Boone as well.
3. Try photography
Photography is a great way to spend your time and also helps you to learn a new skill. It can be good to capture the moments that you don’t want to lose. It can also earn you money if the picture you took is needed by someone or a franchise. It’s beneficial all around!
4. Go on a road trip
Road trips are good ways to spend time with family and friends while also going on an adventure. It doesn’t require much and you’re not at much risk for COVID. You can see all kinds of things like a giant ball of yarn or a dinosaur statue. The choice is yours.
5. Go to a concert
If you’re feeling good and have gotten the vaccine you could decide to go to a concert. Concerts are a great way to have a good and fun time, especially with friends. You could look at which one best fits your taste like country or rock, it’s up to you.
No matter what you do this summer is surely going to be fun compared to what last summer was. It’s been a long year and everyone needs a nice long break and it will be a good way to get back into things for next year. Just remember to stay safe, follow precautions and have a good time.
