As an impressionable child, it is common to form attachments towards characters and celebrities they see in movies, TV shows and other forms of media. Students have expressed their attraction towards celebrities and characters they have or previously have had a crush on.
“I had a crush on Dorothy from ‘Wizard of Oz,’ she’s really pretty and when I was younger I wished I could look and be like her,” sophomore Alexandria Bierie said.
“Mine is Joe Jonas, I know him from ‘Camp Rock’ and I’ve seen him in concert five times, he’s cute and I love his music,” social studies teacher Kenley Bentley said.
“Rosalina from ‘Super Mario Galaxy,’ she is the queen of the Lumas. I liked her because of her mysterious nature and her calm tone of speaking,” sophomore Benjamin Sander said.
“Billie Ellish because of the way she looks and how she dresses, I first heard her music and saw her in the ‘Bad Guy’ music video,” freshman Emmanuel Lopez said.
“Cameron Boyce. His eyes are pretty, his voice sounds nice and just everything, he was really great in Descendants which made me have a crush on him,” sophomore Isabella Shaw said.
“Sabrina Carpenter, specifically when she was in the show ‘Girl Meets World,’ I thought she was gorgeous and liked her character,” senior Matthew Amade said.
“Gwen from ‘Total Drama Island,’ she’s emo, pretty and just an actual baddie in general,” sophomore Bella Freeston said.
