Personal style and fashion choices are some of the most important things to students, but some put great care into where they get their clothes and the quality of the attire they purchase. However, some prefer one over the other, thinking the brand doesn’t matter as much as the overall condition of what they’re wearing.
“I would choose quality over brand. I don’t really have a specific reason why, but I do value quality much more over a brand image,” sophomore Millie Woodward said.
“I choose my clothing based on brand. The reason behind my choice for on-brand clothing is because of the way some brands like Jordan, Nike and Adidas feel. I feel like they have much higher quality compared to most other clothes, they’re not very wear and tear and that is why I value the brand of clothing so much more,” junior Dacian Bradford said.
“I really don’t think it matters based on brand, quality, or whatever. Whatever clothing represents me is what influences what I choose to buy,” senior Matthew Amade said.
“Between quality and brand, I’ll usually choose brands. Some of my favorite brands are Nike, Lululemon and Under Armor,” freshman Brody Pearson said.
“I would definitely choose quality over brands but some good brands do have really good quality as well,” junior Salih Urtis said.
“I would say that both brand and quality is what I consider when buying clothes. For example, some of the quality for some brands can be really bad and expensive but sometimes the money that you’re spending on brand clothing can be really worth it and the clothes can be great quality,” freshman Ziah Jones said.
“Between brand or quality, I’d have to say that I usually prefer quality but some brands are really nice and qualitative as well,” junior Zane Culler said.
“I definitely choose my clothing based on brand. My favorite ones are Lululemon, Nike and all of those good sports brands because I’m constantly active,” senior Aislynn Maguire said.
“I typically choose quality over the brand when I go clothing shopping but it depends on the day. Sometimes I want to wear clothes that are very trendy, on brand and in style, but other days, if not most days, I prefer comfortable clothes that are good and solid quality,” junior Lilly Holton said.
Whether someone chooses to shop on or off-brand, their choice of clothing is what represents them the most.
