Pete Villasmil, Editor in Chief

Pete Villasmil began writing for the Zephyr as a sophomore opinion writer during the 2015-2016 school year. In the summer of 2017, Villasmil was awarded first place in editorial writing in large schools by the North Carolina Scholastic Media Association. He later served as the Opinion Editor for the Zephyr during the 2017-2018 school year, Villasmil’s junior year of high school. He now serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper and consistently writes for the opinion section of the paper. During his free time he loves to read, discuss current events, make music with his brother and eat Chick-fil-A.
