With the start of the new school calendar, students are planning their year within and beyond textbooks and classes. So what is most important to students? What goals and achievements are students aiming for this school year?
“My goals for the school year are to make everybody feel included and participate more in activities,” senior Allonah Chapman said.
“Gain as much aura as I can and try to show up to school every day,” said sophomore Indiana Byington.
“(I want) to pass both my AP classes, which are AP US history and AP Euro, at the career center,” junior Ellis Verbeke said.
“To get all A’s and to stay organized throughout the year,” freshman Wesley Christian said.
“Get good grades, have fun, and meet new people,” freshman Ryan Shugart said.
“Just to graduate, you know, it’s my last year of high school. I’m just here to have fun,” senior AJMcLoud said.
“My goals are to not skip school so much and to make all A’s and B’s,” senior Savannah Hunt said.
“My goals this year are to hopefully get committed and win the state championship for volleyball,” junior Morgan Maxwell said.
“My goal for the school year is to work as hard as I have ever worked in high school. Since it is the last one, I really want to end on a strong note,” senior Willough Walsh said.
“My main goal is to do really well on my AP exams, either scoring a four or five,” junior Leah Saunders said.
“I think my goals are pretty much my good grades and stay focused on my classes. I think I really struggled on that last year, and it’s this is the year to pick it up,” sophomore Caden Katula said.
“My goals are to focus on my one AP class. Get a five on that exam, and be more organized. I also want to stay on top of things that are important to me, like my friendships, cheer, my family, and my schoolwork,” senior Gabby Pruitt said.
From academic achievements to personal growth, the goals of these students reflect their commitment to making the most of this school year. We wish them the best of luck as they work toward these goals and make this year a memorable one!
