As the season comes to a close, the Titans baseball team placed 1st in the conference. However, they lost to Davie in the second round of the CPC tournament. The team advanced to the playoffs. Coach Kevin McIntosh, in his second year as head coach, led the team.
The team has achieved personal goals and key moments that have led to their success this season, including moments such as junior pitcher Greyson Jones pitching two no-hitter games.
“It was super cool, but also a little disappointing. I didn’t get the perfect game, but can’t be upset with my second no-hitter,” Jones said.
Another key moment was the team beating the Raiders. A key contributor to this game was senior Garrett Secrest, who led off with a single for the team, which contributed to many runs scored. Another strong player was senior Parker Trexler, who made several home runs throughout the course of the conference games.
“I’m really happy with how I’ve been hitting and getting runs for my team,” Trexler said.
Many spectators contributed to the viewership of the team and came out to support the team
“I really liked coming out to watch the baseball games, especially the East game,” freshman Jameson O’Ferrell said.
With the success in the conference, we can expect a good run for the Titan baseball team in the state playoffs.
