From controllers to championships, the Esports team has accomplished great feats and overcome impossible barriers. If you are unfamiliar with Esports, it is multiplayer video games played competitively for spectators. West fortunately has a team of its own. The Esports team is comprised of the following six games for its spring season:
Valorant (PC – Free to play)
Marvel Rivals (PC/Xbox/PS5 – Free to Play)
Brawlhalla (PC/Xbox/PS5/Switch – Free To Play)
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch)
Fortnite: Zone Wars (PC/Xbox/PS5/Switch – Free To Play)
NBA 2K25 (Xbox/PS5)
The Esports team will participate in a new weekly competition every Thursday. These competitions will be hosted on NOTWORK and can be scheduled at the student’s discretion. These competitions and matches are perfect eye-catching extracurriculars for college applications and resumes. All information and competitions will be held on the VGC Discord server, which can be joined after joining the team.
Students who are interested in the Esports team will need to register for an account on the VESL at NOTWORK. The spring season expects to see some high-action gameplay with tough competition.
