Another yard ganied for junior wide receiver, Hunter Cruise, but this isn’t anything new. Cruise averages 45 yards a game and has a career total of 669 yards, 486 yards coming from this season, and has 6 touchdowns this season. Cruise has been playing since he was 12-years-old and started his high school football career on varsity as a sophomore.
“I started playing four years ago, and started playing because everyone would watch the NFL and college games, and one day I hoped to be in that situation,” Cruise said.
Cruise attributes his success and motivation to his teammates or “brothers.”
“Football means brotherhood. All my friends play and they motivate me. To me they are my brothers,” Cruise said.
Cruise highly focuses on the big plays and strives to make all the right decisions mid-game.
“What motivates me is to be the best I can and to make the big plays in big moments. I’m always motivated to make big plays during games. Football means excitement and getting to play a sport you love every day means everything,” Cruise said.
For Cruise, his future is already looking bright, as he plans to continue his football career at the collegiate level.
With this only being his junior year, we can exact even bigger things for him in the years to come.
