The victory-hungry football team will take on the Weddington Warriors tonight. West and Weddington are both 2-0 so we can expect an eventful game.
“I think we have a great chance, the energy is up and the team believes in each other,” senior football player Benjamin Furbee said.
The theme for the game is USA, which is a perfect theme since the game will feature “Salute to Service Night,” where we will honor all military personnel including veterans.
All personnel will get in free if they present their military ID at the ticket booth.
“I am really excited to go and dress in USA colors and my grandpa is going since he served in the military,” senior Emma Staples said.
Kickoff is at seven o’clock and the tailgate is at six o’clock and there will be hotdogs, cornhole and music. Come out, bring your best school spirit and show up for those who serve.
