Flowers, chocolate and cute little teddy bears… the lovey-dovey time of the year is here. Love of all kinds can be seen around campus whether that be the subtle hand-holding or kissing your significant other in the middle of the hall. Every couple’s relationship is different and unique in its own way, and what makes their love for each other so strong is their stories. Here are some heartfelt love stories from our very own Titans.
Gwen Spear and Peyton Knight
“I work at Outback Steakhouse as a host and he is a busboy who I met there six months ago. My favorite thing about Peyton Knight is he is super funny. My cheeks hurt from all the smiling I do when I’m around him. I appreciate that he is really good about communicating; if he is confused or wants clarification he will ask without beating around the bush,” junior Gwen Spear said.
Miranda Serviss and Jay Moore
“Me and Jay have been together for almost four years. We met in 6th grade and honestly, I thought he didn’t like me at first, but then we became best friends. We kinda hit it off in 7th grade and since then we have been dating. Jay is a nerd and I love him, and I love his smile. I appreciate him because he is my best friend forever,” junior Miranda Serviss said
“I’ve been with her so long I’ve forgotten what life’s like without her. Words can’t describe how much I love her, like it’s just a feeling deep in my heart. She understands me like no one else. She’s my best friend and my lover,” senior Jay Moore said.
Ana Perez Sanabria and Cailsta (Kal) Farmer
“We have been dating since Sept. 3 and we met in such a silly way. My friend invited her to sit with us and it blossomed from there. I love how she is really good at art she’s good at anything artistic and I love that about her,” senior Ana Perez Sanabria said.
Destiny Morrow and Silas Young
“We were in the play ‘Bye Bye Birdie,’ and I was in the ensemble and he was in the orchestra pit. He texted me one day and so I blocked him. Then he DMed me on Instagram to unblock him, which I did. We became friends even though he kept trying to ask me to prom and I kept having to friendzone him. Forward to summer, we hung out more and more until we went on a walk and told each other we liked each other,” senior Destiny Morrow said.
Isabel Ramirez and Ricky Riddle
“He was walking around and I was making fun of his name and he started to sit with my friends and then a week later we started dating because I thought he was cute. I love his generosity, hair and his tallness. I’m literally wearing a picture of him on my shirt right now,” junior Isabel Ramirez said.
The story behind the couples can be so entertaining when we learn how they came together, and who knows, it may even foreshadow their future.
