Once again, Titans have the chance to show off for an audience of students, faculty and parents. Each year, a number of students showcase their talents, with students from the drama department hosting the show. Prizes, including gift cards and stuffed animals are also given to those with the best acts. Drama department director Renae Hubbard looks forward to being blown away by the new talents of 2024.
“I love the talent show every year. Each year is different with many new talents, so each year brings its own surprises,” Hubbard said.
Students are ready to finally have the opportunity to bring the house down with their special skills.
“I’m singing. I’m looking forward to performing because I love to perform, and also seeing everyone else’s talents. It’s easy to see growth in singing and it gives me something to be proud of after being able to hear my growth,” junior Lindsey Martin said.
Those helping with the production are also excited to see familiar faces on stage.
“As part of the theatre department, I help set up and organize the talent show as well as assisting in striking when it is over. I am really excited to see people from last year and see what they’ll do this year and seeing new people,” senior Maddie Newsome said.
For the first time in years, there will be an unexpected twist to this year’s show.
“We are bringing back that faculty acts are invited, so tell your teachers to audition. We are also allowing students to watch each other audition this year,” Hubbard said.
The show will be held Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Make sure to go and our talent-tastic Titans!
