Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy place to visit or an adventure that showcases the gorgeous nature surrounding you, there are plenty of North Carolina places for you to choose from.
Tanglewood Park
Tanglewood Park is a place that truly brings the Clemmons community together. Tanglewood contains a public pool, dog park, horse stables, several fishing areas, golf courses and even a flower garden. The area is chock full of woodland surrounding the roads where many go for scenic drives and walks. A visit to the park is a perfect opportunity to observe the leaves changing colors. Tanglewood is very close by, about 10-15 minutes away, so grab a friend and make your way over as soon as possible.
Conrad Road
Conrad Road is a beautiful drive that displays the fall colors and shows the aged beauty of historical homes. The trip is not very far, sitting at just about 15 minutes away. The canopy of trees that tower over the road is a perfect photo opportunity taking and truly absorbing the wonders of fall. Many like to take the long way home when returning to Clemmons to really soak up the seasonal tones.
Reynolda Village
The Reynolda Mile is home to plentiful amounts of attractions, historic museums and houses, locally owned boutiques and heirloom gardens. The Reynolda Mile is the perfect opportunity to take a relaxing stroll and get some shopping done. Some popular restaurants in the Reynolda area are Village Tavern . Penny Path Café and Crêpe Shop and Sweet Potatoes. The area is only a 20 minute drive from Clemmons so it is definitely a convenient trip.
Hanging Rock State Park
The Hanging Rock Trail is about 50 minutes from Clemmons but the venture is worth it. The park offers plenty of opportunities to take either an easy or difficult hike depending on one’s preference to truly enjoy the views. The trails that surround the park have destinations that lead to waterfalls and rock outcroppings that overlook the North Carolina mountains as well as the Piedmont region. The park is for everyone to enjoy and it is a good idea to take a trip now while the leaves are in the midst of changing from bright green to warm yellows and oranges.
Blue Ridge Parkway
Blue Ridge Parkway is about 1.5 hours away from Clemmons but the stunning views are definitely worth the drive. Blue Ridge Parkway is a scenic byway that goes deep into the Appalachian mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. Taking a drive through the Parkway offers amazing glimpses of the regional flora and fauna as well as the diverse wildlife. It’s an experience you will not want to miss.
