While Clemmons is still baking in the summer heat, the chilly pumpkin-spiced season is just around the corner. Stores are already flooded with fall decorations, and students are looking forward to a variety of activities and cute seasonal clothing so that they can fully embrace their fall spirit.
With the arrival of the cool autumn weather, Titans are getting ready to rock their comfy outfits.
“I’m most excited to layer my clothes to add some personality and flare to my look,” sophomore Jenni Romero Monico said.
“Wearing hoodies and sweaters is probably the best part,” sophomore Mason Gas said.
For others, the festivities are the highlight of this season.
“I’m looking forward to fall because it’s my favorite and includes my favorite holiday, Halloween,” sophomore Anna Hege said.
The temperature change is also getting people ready for this upcoming season.
“I am excited because the weather gets colder and because of the football games,” freshman Campbell Baldwin said.
With boundless excitement, Clemmons has become immersed in fall spirit. Whether it’s festive food or seasonal sports, the Village is more ecstatic than ever.
If you stroll down any aisle at your local grocery store you’ll find many seasonal flavors and scents. Pumpkin, maple, cinnamon and apple found their way into all of your favorite foods. It’s hard not to love classic pumpkin bread and apple pie, but finding pumpkin-flavored ravioli and dog treats at Trader Joe’s is taking the craze to a new level.
School sports have also been taking the spotlight this fall, especially the approaching homecoming game. Students and parents have been thrilled to support the Titans football team and hang out with friends while enjoying the chilly weather.
“What I’m looking forward to is football, like the NFL and school games,” senior Hayden Morris said.
The main factor that makes autumn magical is the weather, the crisp mornings gleaming over Clemmons as the leaves start falling to the ground. The chilly weather has everyone wrapped up in this favorite season.
“I think the fall is just when it’s nice because it’s the calm right before the storm. Right now everyone is just enjoying it, we enjoy being outside, each other, the colors and the food,” English teacher Jaela Marshall said.
Although summer is ending, you can look forward to all the fun activities fall has to offer. So make sure you put on a jacket and enjoy the cheer of this relaxing and lovely season.
