The Groscars are Out of this World: Drama Department celebrates end of school year
The Groscars are back. An interesting spin on the tried and true Oscars, the Drama Department puts on a similar show, and students are awarded Oscars-like awards for the year’s performances. The Groscars creates a celebratory environment to send the graduating seniors off and honor all the hard work the department has put in throughout the year.
“I admire the dedication of this year’s Drama Department and how well each of them worked together and got along,” Renae Hubbard said.
This year’s Groscars theme was ‘Out of this World,’ and so were the costumes. Members were challenged to dress as anything space related. Everything from Star Wars to planets was seen.
“This was one of my favorite themes and I genuinely can not pick a favorite costume,” Hubbard said.
The main part of the show is giving awards to all the deserving actors in the Drama Department.
